Fitting a carpet on the platform will also help to silence a speed bag. You have to cut a carpet the size of the platform of your speed bag. Then glue the piece of carpet on the platform to reduce the speed of the bag after being hit. It also works as a sound barrier that helps to silence the speed bag.

How Do I Stop My Speed Bag From Vibrating?

If you want to stop your speed bag vibrating, you must control the sound reverberation. Then, you must opt for a heavy stand to stop it from vibrating. You can also use a stand with bigger legs for better balance. 

You can also place the stand of your speed bag stand against the wall covered with carpet. Yes, you can place the stand against the corner of the wall to stop it from vibrating. However, placing sandbags or cinder blocks on the stand would also help. Else, you can place the stand on a foam mat spread on the floor.

Lastly, you must adapt good techniques to punch your speed bag for a less vibrating effect. Controlling the reverberation helps to create less vibration in the speed bag. If you opt for a heavy stand with bigger legs, it will create less vibration in your stand.

However, sandbags or cinder blocks add extra weight to your stand which makes the balance better. It helps to stop this bag from vibrating. You can also place a foam mat that creates less friction between the legs of the stand and the floor. It also helps if you try to stop the vibration in your speed bag.
